Launch of the EUFEAST project

The launch of the EUFEAST project was held together with the Regional Stakeholders Seminar on 30th April 2026.

The event brought together key cultural and institutional stakeholders including Regional Councils Cultural Managers, Arts Council Malta, Għaqda Każini tal-Banda, Malta Tourism Authority, and the Local Government Division.

The programme included official addresses by the Parliamentary Secretary for Local Government and the Director General for Local Government. Presentations on the project’s scope, achievements, ongoing survey and mapping exercise were carried out by Robert Tabone, Director for International Affairs and Training Directorate at the Local Government Division, and ARC’s lead researcher for the project, Dr Samuel Mallia.

Moderated by ARC’s Elaine Falzon, the seminar focused on festival data, sustainable festival management, and community engagement. This initiative forms part of a wider commitment to strengthening knowledge exchange, improving festival management practices, and building sustainable cultural networks through regional collaboration.
