This week, the European Festivals Association (EFA) released the first EFFE Seal Catalogue, focusing on environmental sustainability.
The publication compiles practices, experiences, stories, and approaches implemented in the 2023-2024 festival season by highlighting festivals’ experiences and local governments’ policies when it comes to environmental sustainability.
It forms part of the EFFE Seal for Festival Cities and Regions initiative, which has the mission of fostering better cooperation between festivals and their local authorities for the joint development of territories. The Region of Gozo and city of Birgu in the Maltese Islands have both joined the EFFE Seal initiative.
