Formation of an Academy for the Performing & Visual Arts

The Ministry for Education, Sports, Youths, Research and Innovation (MEYR) together with Arts Council Malta commissioned ARC to provide consultancy services in relation to the drawing up of an action plan for the creation of a national academy for performing and visual arts. The setting up of such institution is in line with an electoral manifesto measure and the National Education Strategy 2024-2030 which recognises the arts as a specialised area of study. As part of this process, ARC organised a one-day public consultation seminar in April 2024 as well as local and international field trip visits.
