Maltese artist Sarah Vella selected for EFFEA residency at Frei Festival & Dance Festival Malta

As partner member of the EFFEA – European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists platform, we are thrilled that Maltese dancer, choreographer and therapist Sarah Vella has received EFFEA funds for the residency ‘P O W E R’.
Vella will be hosted by Dance Festival Malta and Frei Art Festival alongside artists Alba de Miguel Fuertes and Laura Garcia Aguilera in spring and summer of 2025.
P O W E R is an artistic research exploration that delves into personal narratives of inner resilience and strength. Through research encounters with local female communities and a multidisciplinary artistic collaboration, the project aims to sensitively explore the universal human experiences of overcoming adversity, embodying courage, and revealing vulnerability.
